About the Department

The Department of Physics was established at the beginning of the college's founding in 2020. The Department of Physics at the College of Science and Arts in Ghadames is considered the cornerstone of the college. It seeks to lead in education and physical research and aims to contribute to building a generation of innovators capable of understanding the laws of nature, developing critical thinking skills, and preparing personnel to contribute to the development of the local community. The department grants a bachelor's degree in physics.

Providing an outstanding educational program that keeps pace with global developments in theoretical and applied physics. · Encouraging scientific research and creativity among students and faculty members. · Enhancing collaboration with scientific and industrial institutions locally and regionally. · Promoting physical culture and scientific awareness in the community.

  • Preparing outstanding graduates scientifically and research-wise, capable of contributing to the development of physical knowledge and its applications, and serving the community according to global quality standards, based on national and social values.
  • Providing an outstanding academic program in physics that integrates solid theoretical foundations with contemporary practical applications, while taking into account the latest global developments in the field.
  • Developing students' critical thinking, logical analysis, and complex problem-solving skills through laboratory experiments and mini research projects.
  • Preparing the student to use modern technologies and advanced devices in measurement and physical analysis, and enabling them to design and conduct experiments.

curriculum

The duration of study in the department is four years, during which the student studies a number of theoretical and practical subjects, as well as some general courses that support the specialization. The department grants a Bachelor's degree in Physics.
