About the Department
The English Department was established at the beginning of the college's founding in 2019. The English Department at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Ghadames serves as an academic bridge connecting students and the local community to the world. The department aims to prepare specialized and qualified personnel who master the English language exceptionally well and are also familiar with the literature, culture, and civilization associated with it.

I am pleased, on behalf of myself and my colleagues in the English Department at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Ghadames, to welcome you to our department's webpage. We are here to provide you with a window that reflects our mission and vision in teaching the English language and its literature, as we strive to offer distinguished and continuously developed academic programs that meet the demands of the times and enhance the communication, critical thinking, and creativity skills of our students. We aim to build a cultural bridge between our authentic Arab-Islamic heritage and other cultures through mastering the global language of dialogue, as well as encouraging scientific research and rigorous academic studies among faculty members and students alike. We keep in mind that the student is the focus and goal of the educational process. We always strive to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment that helps students discover and develop their potential. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues in the department for their dedicated efforts in building generations. I also extend my thanks to the administration of the Faculty of Science and Arts in Ghadames for their continuous support of the department's academic and research activities. curriculum
The duration of study in the department is four years, during which the student studies a number of specialized subjects in the second, third, and fourth years, along with some general subjects in the first year, in addition to the specialized courses. The department grants a bachelor's degree in English language and literature.
